So this weekend has been jam-packed, full of fun anf laughter and love. It was my last weekend in Bristol, and what better way to celebrate than with a burger (or two) and some cocktails with the people I've spent the past 3 years of my life with?
We had so many cocktails, and if you know me you know that's the way to my heart. So many that I was tucked up in bed by half ten, absolutely exhausted and more than a little bit tipsy! It was a lovely way to say goodbye, I'm very lucky to have made such good friends whilst at university.
Sunday saw the big drive home, I'm still amazed that everything fit in the car (read: I own too much stuff). It was a lovely day to drive, we left early in the morning, and it was so beautifully sunny.
It took us three hours to get home; and after unpacking and returning the car the sun was still shining. And what better way to celebrate returning to Cambridge than an afternoon on the river? We stopped at Waitrose on the way picking up some nibbles and some beers. We rented a rowing boat, which we soon discovered was a mistake; it was a bit broken, and with the oars was so wide it was hard to navigate round all of the punts! It was still fun, and we had a laugh every time we rowed into a tree!
All in all, I had a pretty fantastic weekend! I now have a week ahead which will be filled with unpacking and catching up with friends!
What did you do this weekend?
