On the whole, April has been pretty good to us. We managed to get outdoors a lot more thanks to the beautiful sunshine. We went for walks by the river, picnics in the park and we even went punting (without Zach, he's not quite old enough to be out on the river!). We're hoping that the beautiful weather continues as we want to get out and about as much as we can and show Zach the world!
It hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows though, as we have suffered a little too. All 3 of us had a cold, but of course watching Zach feeling poorly was worse than having the cold itself. Zach also had a bit of a stomach bug, so we did spend a fortnight trying to comfort an unhappy baby. Thankfully, he's back to full health now and is happy and smiley once more!
This month Zach has been developing and learning like crazy! He's so much stronger and loves to be sat upright or stood up whenever he is awake. He's become a lot more active, trying to roll over (we're not quite there yet!) and wiggling constantly - he doesn't like to stay still that's for sure! He's also slept through the night for the first time which we're very happy about!
Jono qualified as a driving instructor at the end of last month which was very exciting for us as a family. He's planning on starting up his own business to teach in our local area, and I'm so proud of him. I can't wait to support him through this next chapter in our lives! He's begun his business plan this month which has started the ball rolling!
This month we also welcomed little baby Ella to the world, as our friends gave birth to their first little baby. It was so lovely to meet her, and we can't wait for both her and Zach to play together when they're a little older. Zach's Aunty Holly is also due to give birth any day now, which is something we will be celebrating in May.
Fingers crossed next month will be just as fun, we have some exciting things planned! :)
