Richmond Park

I have always dreamed of visiting Richmond Park to see all of the deer, and this weekend I finally made it there. We all crammed into Jono's parent's car and headed to South London to meet Zach's little cousin for the first time. It was so exciting to finally see her, and holding a newborn brought back so many memories. We decided to go on a walk in the park and headed there with two pushchairs and the whole family in tow.

When most of the family headed back for some cake and a bit more champagne (note to self: do not drink champagne in the afternoon) we decided to stay and explore a bit more with Jono's parents. We found a beautiful pond which had the most beautiful ducks I've ever seen and sat down to feed Zach. Before heading back we went to change him and of course he decided to wee all over his clothes so we had to put him in his emergency sleepsuit!

On the walk back we saw a pack of deer across a field and decided to head over to get a closer look. This was no easy task with a pushchair as the grass was very long and thick and there were lots of bumps and lumps. But the challenge was worth it as we got to see the beautiful deer close up. Of course I took a selfie with them because I am just that cool...

Richmond Park is so big and there's so much to explore that we only managed to see a small area of it. I definitely want to go back this summer and see some more of the park. Maybe take a picnic and make a day of it! I'd love to be able to see more deer too as I think they are just such beautiful creatures.

Have you ever been to Richmond Park?
