January has been good to us. We've settled back into our routine after the Christmas break, celebrated several birthdays with our friends and family, and even managed a few days out. We've also booked our first holiday of the year which is something exciting to look forward to. Like almost everyone else we lost ten hours of our life this month to 'Making a Murderer', which if you are living under a rock and still haven't seen then you must!
It's been quite an emotional month for me. This time last year I was heavily pregnant and now we're getting ready for Zach's first birthday. We've spent a lot of time over the past couple of weeks making decorations for his party, and we're really looking forward to getting together with our nearest and dearest to celebrate our boy's first year. I just can't quite get my head around how fast it's gone, and I'm so sad to say goodbye to having a baby (although excited to see what life with a toddler is like!)
Zach took his first steps at the beginning of the month, and is getting more confident on his feet by the day. We love watching him totter around and are so so proud of him - although it means we have to keep a closer eye on our little daredevil! He's also begun pointing at the things he wants and has learnt to climb onto the sofa this month!
To end the month I attended my first blogging event CBM16 which was hosted by Martyn from Inside Martyn's Thoughts and Natalie from The Diary of an Unexpectant Mother. It was so much fun and really lovely to meet everyone, especially Jade from Raising the Rings who is someone I speak to almost every day but had never met in person. It's funny how you can make such good friends through blogging but not have met in real life!
