A Blogger Wedding, Girls on Fire & You Me at Six #LittleLoves

Friday, October 28, 2016

It's been another long week, with yet more sickness, and I'm starting to feel very ready for November now as I'm keen to put all this illness behind us. Despite feeling under the weather we've had a really great (and very busy!) week, I'm just feeling a little bit too much mum guilt as Zach has been cooped up inside a little bit too much.

This week I have been reading Girls on Fire by Robin Wasserman. It was given to me by a friend, and at the moment I am about half way through - I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet, so keep an eye out for my book review post.

Whilst we're talking reading I also wanted to mention that I will be hosting November's #BookClub140 which is a monthly twitter book club run by Stacie from Parker and Me. If you want to join in the book we are reading is The Widow by Fiona Barton and the chat will be on Sunday 27th November at 8pm!!

On Saturday I was lucky enough to watch the beautiful Jade from Raising the Rings get married!! It was such a perfect day, and I felt so blessed to be there to watch one of my best friends marry her true love. It's funny how someone you can become so close to the people you meet online,

Oh gosh absolutely nothing. When I first started these posts I thought I would have so much to talk about as usually I'm quite creative, and I love baking, but honestly life has just taken over! Need to make more effort in this section! ;)

About a week before Jade's wedding I finally found something to wear; a simple navy skater style dress. Coincidentally, both Faye (from Tales and Tea) and I were in navy, so we looked a little bit like Jade's blogger bridesmaids!

(and watched) You Me at Six perform at Shepherd's Bush Empire on Monday night. Whilst I only know a few of their songs, the gig was really fun, and I revelled in the fact that I was out late, drinking beer and dancing on a school night!

This weekend we are in London celebrating Jono's 30th birthday - I am so excited, and I can't wait for him to find out what his present is!

  1. Aww what a beautiful photo of all three of you! And so nice that you met through blogging :) enjoy your weekend in London! #littleloves

  2. What a lovely photo of the three of you! The bride looked gorgoues! Hope you have a wonderful time in London!

  3. Lovely photo of you three - gorgeous all of you! I've heard mixed reviews about Girls on Fire, look forward to hearing your thoughts. Enjoy celebrating Jono's birthday! xx

  4. Sounds like you've had a lovely week. I hope your weekend is a super celebration, I remember my 30th. #littleloves

  5. Ooh, I didn't know you ran a Twitter book club. Might have to get involved with that as I've always wanted to join a book club but always been so nervous of doing so in real life. I'm not sure if I'll get chance to read this month's book though as we're going to have a busy one, so hopefully will join in next month. You all looked amazing at the wedding, great dress choice! x #LittleLoves

  6. I hope you have a lovely time in London, and wishing you a wonderful November!
