Our Christmas Bucket List

07:30

I am so excited that Christmas is finally on it's way, and we are totally ready to embrace everything festive. Normally I feel like time drags between Bonfire night and Christmas, but this year it all seems to be going by so fast, and it will be the big day before we know it.

In order to get totally into the Christmas spirit I have put together a big list of all the things we want to do between now and then. I did this last year, and it was so much fun to tick each thing off as we did it, and I think this year will be even more exciting now that Zach is a little older! Here's what we've got planned:

Make a Christmas cake on stir up Sunday
Try all of the Starbucks festive drinks
Dry slices of orange for decorations
Buy food for the food bank
Make popcorn garlands for the tree
Meet Father Christmas
Hang a wreath on our front door
Go to a carol service
Drive around to look at the Christmas lights
Make and decorate a gingerbread house
Go to a Christmas market
Cut down the Christmas tree from our garden
Make Zach a Christmas Eve box
Make mulled wine
Wear Christmas jumpers for a family photo
Make and send our own Christmas cards
Decorate the tree together
Watch The Muppet Christmas Carol and Home Alone
Make Zach a book advent
Drink big hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows
Create a Christmas sensory activity for Zach
Do Elf on the Shelf
Make salt dough ornaments for the tree
Buy a Radio Times magazine and highlight everything we want to watch
Bake homemade mince pies
Do Christmas crafts together
Spend an evening wrapping presents together
Make reindeer food, and sprinkle it in the garden on Christmas Eve
Buy (and devour) a big tub of Quality Street
Forage for holly to decorate our living room
Go for a Boxing Day walk
Watch the local Christmas lights switch on

What is on your Christmas bucket list?
