Me & Mine - March '1714:35
I skipped last month's post, and I'm late with this one, but I guess it's better late than never, hey?
This month's photos are my absolute favourite photos of our little family, and I am so excited to share them with you! We actually had a photoshoot in Thetford Forest with the lovely Cathryn from Cathryn Wood Photography (aka Little Paper Swans!) which was a first for us, and I am absolutely in love with all of the photos. They really capture our family, especially Zach's mischievous and cheeky personality! Keep an eye out for a post full of my favourite photos from the shoot!
March in general was a bit of a funny one for me, and although I don't normally write about unhappy things on here, on the very first day of the month I was on a train which tragically hit and killed a teenage boy. I am very lucky that in my personal life I haven't had a lot of experience with death, so it affected me more than I think it would most people, and to be honest it cast a shadow over those first few weeks. If ever there was something to make you feel extra specially grateful for everything you have in life, then that was it.
That very first weekend of the month Jono and I went on an unexpected trip to York. We had actually planned to spend the weekend in Copenhagen as a little child-free holiday, but being the twit that I am I actually lost my passport, so we had to stay a bit closer to home. Despite not being able to have the holiday we had originally planned, we had a really great time, and it was so nice to be able to spend some quality time together. Those few days we spent away were the first time in over two years that we had spent that long together just the two of us.
The rest of the month was a blur of trips to the park, ever more dramatic renditions of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and increasingly late nights thanks to a certain toddler who refuses to stay in bed. We've really enjoyed the first few days of proper sunshine, and even had our first ice lolly of the year! Over the past month life has been pretty simple, and we've been taking things nice and slow, which is exactly how I want things to be.
How was your March?
