Seed Babies, The Hobbit & Converse #LittleLoves

I am finally back to writing Little Loves posts, linking with the lovely Morgana from Coffee Work Sleep Repeat, after an impromptu break, and I am so happy about it! I really enjoy putting together and sharing these posts, and I am itching to get back into the rhythm of writing them each week. I also can't wait to read what everyone else is loving at the moment!

READ

This week I have been reading The Hobbit, which is a total throwback to my childhood as my dad read it to me when I was little. I have actually got a boxset with the three Lord of the Rings books in it too, and I hope to read those once I've finished The Hobbit. I have to say that so far I am enjoying it far more than I thought I would, and I love getting lost in Bilbo's adventure every evening.

WATCHED

Jono and I have started a new series this week on Netflix; 13 Reasons Why. I had seen a few things about it floating around the internet, so I thought we would give it a go. We're only a few episodes in and already hooked. I'll share my thoughts properly when I've seen a little more, as it's still too early to judge!

MADE

This week we tried a new recipe from my Slimming World recipe book: beef keema curry with bombay vegetables. It was so goooood, the picture really doesn't do it justice at all. I'm really falling back in love with cooking at the moment, and trying to keep our meals quite varied, as I've found it can be really easy to fall into a rut when on SW.

WORE

Aside from jumpers and coats thanks to the freezing weather, I have been wearing my white converse all of the time recently. They are comfy, and go with absolutely everything, so are my absolute go to when it comes to deciding which shoes to wear.

HEARD

This week I've heard lots of chatter from Zach, who is speaking more and more every day! After worrying for so long about his lack of speech he is doing really well now, and it's so lovely to have little conversations with him. Our car journeys home after picking him up from my mum's is when he is his most chatty, and he loves telling us what he wants to do when we get home, and what he can see out of the window. It's so cute!

AND LASTLY...

I thought I would use this section to tell you about my seed babies! We have a pretty small garden, but we have space for a little vegetable patch, and I have been absolutely loving planting seeds and watching them grow. Most of them are currently living in little pots on my windowsill at the moment, and I love checking on them every day and seeing how much they have grown.

    1. Yes it's like a curried version of cottage pie! I haven't read it since being a child, but think I'll probably read it over and over! x

Oh I remember those chatty times when my girls were little, it's like they've stored it all up and now it's ALL coming out. It's so sweet to view the world through what they share with you.
Loving the new vegetable patch venture, my girls are desperate to have one.

  7. We planted seeds recently - I think I killed them already though, my presence just seems to do that to plants so I don't know why I thought trying to grow them from seeds would be any different! I'm loving all your slimming world pics on your sw instagram account by the way. Have a lovely bank holiday! #littleloves

I love it, such a foodie. Wish converse were comfortable for me to wear always look stylish but they cut the back of my feet I must have weird shaped feet sadly. Are those peonies? I need some fresh flowers to brighten the house! Happy bank holiday weekend #littleloves

    1. Oh definitely do it, they are really delicious! Such a shame that converse hurt your feet - I've had to go up half a size to make them comfortable, and it seems as though a lot of people have issues with them! Yes, the flowers are peonies and I was so excited to spot them - my first bunch this year! xx
