LOTR, Triple Chocolate Cookies & James Blunt #LittleLoves

07:00

This week has been a bit of a rubbish one. My hormones completely took over, and I found myself feeling seriously down - I even cried because we didn't have any potatoes in the house! It makes me feel so out of control and annoyed at myself, but thankfully I feel like I'm coming out the other side now, and I'm ready to get my positive pants back on!

READ

Having finished The Hobbit last week, I have since moved on to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've already finished The Fellowship of the Ring, and am on to The Two Towers, and I have to say that I am absolutely loving them, so much more than I thought I would! I've watched the films every year since they came out, so I know the story quite well, but there is so much more depth in the books (which there always is!) and I can't wait to read the rest!

WATCHED

Sticking on the LOTR theme, I started re-watching The Fellowship of the Ring on Wednesday night after I had finished reading the book. Everything makes SO much more sense now, but I had forgotten how long it is and fell asleep half way through! Going to finish it next week!

MADE

Yesterday I made my favourite triple chocolate cookies, ready to take camping this weekend. They are really easy, and taste so delicious, and this time I mixed it up a little and added some Reese's peanut butter chips. SO GOOD.

WORE

This week I have worn my new top from Topshop, which has absolutely HUGE sleeves. I'm not sure that it suits me, but you know what, I just fancied trying something new and a bit different than what I normally wear. Jono did say I looked like a tudor in it though haha!

HEARD

For the past few weeks both Jono and I have been a bit obsessed with James Blunt's new song Bartender. If you haven't listened to it I would definitely give it a go - it is very different from his old stuff!

AND LASTLY...

We are off camping this weekend in Southwold to celebrate our friend's 30th Birthday! This is the first time that we have gone with Zach, and although I am excited, I am also a little bit nervous. I have no idea how we are going to get him to sleep in a tent, but only time will tell. Wish us luck!

  2. My eldest has just binged her way through all the LOTR films and has plans to read them with her daddy when they've finished Harry Potter. You both have more patience than me, I struggled to even get into The Hobbit (book and film!)
Enjoy camping this week, I hope Zach takes to it well xx

  4. Oh how I love the Lord of the Rings! Amazing books. I had one big book of all three when I was growing up and first read it when I was about 11. I haven't read it in years - I must dust it off. I love that top - more angel than tudor I think! x

  6. My son adores the Hobbit and LOTR films but they are long so I can see how you fell asleep halfway through.

  7. I love your blouse, I'm never sure if big sleeves suit me as I feel disproportionate but I think they look great on other people. Aren't mens comments funny? My husband told me my new trousers were too "flappy" this week, they are being sent back!! xx
