Weekly Meal Plan #16 - Eating From Our Freezer

This week's meal plan is a little different, as I've set myself a bit of a challenge. It's Sunday evening as I write this, and a few hours ago I realised that I had totally forgotten to order our food shop. After getting cross with myself, I realised that actually, we probably have enough food in the cupboard and freezer to feed our little family for the week, so that is what we are going to do.

It is so easy to get into the routine of meal planning and buying a big shop each week, and I'm not very good at using up what we've already got, so I plan to do this as often as possible to make sure that we're not spending more than we need to, and not wasting as much food. I will have to buy a few key ingredients and some fresh fruit and milk, but other than that we've already got everything in!


MONDAY - Sausage casserole, mash + veg

TUESDAY - Tomato + roasted red pepper pasta

WEDNESDAY - Fish fingers, chips + peas

THURSDAY - Cod risotto

FRIDAY - Linda McCartney sausages, cous cous + veg

  1. I like to have a week every now and again where we just eat out of the freezer and cupboards...If I had to we could probably last for about a month with the food I have in. Eek!

    1. Well that's definitely good in emergencies - we don't have quite that much in, but it's nice to just use up what we have for once! x
