Goals for July

Saturday, July 01, 2017

Every month I like to sit down with my Bullet Journal and set myself some goals for the month ahead. I find it is a great way to keep on top of things, and really helps me to focus on the things I want to achieve.

I'm actually really excited for July this year. We've not got much going on aside from a week away camping, so I'm hoping we will be able to slow down and really enjoy the summer together as a family. I'm all about those low-key lazy days at the moment; they really feel so good for the soul!

GOALS FOR JULY

Something that I made a lot of time for last year was reading, but this year it feels as though I have barely picked up a book. After finally finishing the Lord of the Rings trilogy I'm feeling ready to work my way through my huge pile of unread books. Combined with a good cup of tea (and maybe some sneaky biscuits) reading will be the perfect chance for some "me time" again.

GET BACK INTO BLOGGING

So far this year blogging has taken a little bit of a backseat whilst everything else in my life has taken over. Since Zach stopped napping I have found it really hard to find the time to sit down with the laptop, let alone take photos. This month I want to try and make some time to get back into the swing of things as I really miss the buzz I used to get from writing posts and sharing our lives. I have lots of ideas, so watch this space!

TAKE A BREAK

My first two goals are all about doing more, but I also want to make the time to take a break too - maybe I'm asking too much of myself! We're heading away to the New Forest for a week this month, and although camping with a toddler isn't the most relaxing experience, I really want to enjoy the break and embrace life without technology for those seven days.

  1. Great goals! Tea and a book is the ultimate me time for me - I try to do that of an evening as it is a great way to wind down. I look forward to hearing how the camping with a toddler goes; I've been wanting to go camping with Alexander and even at 3 and a half I'm still a bit nervous! Happy July - I hope it proves to be a lovely one for you and your little family.
